A good catalogue can be read in more than one direction. Take it by district and the wall stretches from Karolina out at Zuidas to the four women whose journeys begin in Centrum. Take it by language and Lucie stands apart with French, Dutch and English, and Liana with Italian alongside Romanian and English. None of these routes is the correct one. Each is simply another door into the same fifteen frames.
A profile is a standing introduction, not a timetable.
