Fifteen women, fifteen frames

The portraits above make up the entire Body to Body Amsterdam roster this season, fifteen women in all, and every frame opens onto a fuller page of photographs and facts.

A roster of fifteen is a deliberate size. It is small enough that each profile can say how a woman actually works, not just which boxes sit under her photographs, and large enough that most evenings find several of them free. They are based all over the map: Bianka, Lucie, Molly and Violetta around Centrum, Danielle and Lea in the Jordaan, Angelika and Luna out of De Pijp, Cindy and Nora toward Oud-Zuid, with Jasmin near Leidseplein, Liana by Rembrandtplein, Milena a short walk from Dam Square, Laura along the Vondelpark and Karolina down at Zuidas. Wherever your hotel sits, somebody good is close.

How to read a frame

The card tells you the plain facts, age, height, languages, home district, and the photographs tell you the rest of what a page can carry. What no card carries is temperament, so ask about it. Write that you want the quiet one, the playful one, the one who will happily talk through the opening minutes, and the reply names who is free and fits the description, leaving the choice with you.

Choosing, two ways

Some guests arrive knowing: they send one name and a time, and the reply says whether she is free. Others send the shape of the evening instead, slow oil work at eleven, a pair for a special occasion, someone who speaks French, and the reply lists the women free at that hour for them to choose from. Either message takes a minute to write, and neither commits you to anything until the booking is confirmed.

The Body to Body Amsterdam roster, session by session

Every woman on this page gives the signature body to body session and the slow sensual series. The differences start after that, and they sort the roster neatly into three groups of four plus a trio:

• All five sessions: Danielle, Lea and Milena, the only three who give oil, gel, lather and the four-hand pairing.
• Oil, gel and lather: Angelika, Jasmin, Liana and Molly, who work solo across every texture.
• Oil, gel and four hands: Bianka, Karolina, Lucie and Nora, four of the seven women in the pairing pool.
• Oil and lather: Cindy, Laura, Luna and Violetta, whose sessions stay with warm oil and hot water.

So a guest who wants nuru has eleven names to choose from, a guest who wants soapy has another eleven, and a guest who wants two women at once chooses among seven.

Looks, languages and heights

The wall is varied without being arranged that way. Five of the women are blonde, Bianka, Cindy, Jasmin, Nora and Violetta; the six brunettes are Karolina, Laura, Liana, Lucie, Luna and Molly; Angelika, Danielle and Milena have black hair, and Lea is the roster's only redhead. Heights run from Lea at 165 centimetres to Milena at 175. If a particular look matters to you, the blonde frames and the black-haired frames are grouped on pages of their own.

Language is often the detail that settles a close choice. All fifteen speak English. Danielle and Lucie also speak French, Cindy and Lucie Dutch, Laura and Liana Italian, and Jasmin German, while the rest each bring a first language of their own, which can make the opening minutes of an evening easier for a guest from the same corner of Europe. Molly works in English alone, while Lucie and Liana each speak three languages.

Who is free tonight

Availability is the one thing a page of portraits cannot show honestly, so this one does not try. Each woman keeps her own hours, the pattern changes from week to week, and the only reliable answer lives in the thread. Send a name and an hour and the reply says whether she is free and takes the booking; send only the hour and the reply names two or three women who are, each with a line about how she works.
