In early August the canals carry the Pride boats, the streets around the Prinsengracht fill for days, and hotels across the centre are booked months ahead. Why Pride is a peak date
The house treats Pride week, and above all the day of the Canal Parade, as a peak date, alongside King's Day, ADE, Christmas, New Year and the largest conferences. On a peak date every booking is confirmed with half sent ahead. That includes a returning guest who would normally pay everything at the door for a same-day hour. The reason is practical: on the busiest days, a cancelled slot almost never finds another guest in time.
The deposit is exactly half of the figure on the rates table. One hour with one woman for a guest alone is €180, so €90 goes ahead. Two hours is €360 with €180 ahead. A pair of women for a single guest is €360 an hour. Deposits travel by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, and on a cancellation the notice scale decides how much of them is kept.

The parade runs through the afternoon, and the streets stay full late into the night. Two windows are usually easier to book. The first is late morning, before the crowds gather along the water. The second is after about one in the morning, when many guests are back in their rooms and the busiest requests have passed. The early evening, from six to ten, is the hardest time to get a particular name, so if you want that slot, write several days ahead with two names in order of preference.
The woman's arrival window stays forty to sixty minutes to a central address. What makes that easy during Pride is a clear entrance, since some streets beside the canals are closed or packed. If your hotel has a side door away from the water, say so in the thread.
Choosing a woman for a busy week
Many Pride visitors travel from abroad, and language is a sensible way to narrow the roster. Looking after yourself in the heat
August in Amsterdam can be hot, and a day on the canals means sun, crowds and usually a few drinks. Before she arrives, cool the room rather than heating it, take a cool shower, drink water and give yourself time to come down from the noise. Couples visiting for Pride often ask whether the booking can be arranged for the two of them in an apartment rather than a hotel. It can. Send the street, the entrance and the floor, and say clearly that you are a couple so the office quotes from the right line of the rates table. A couple with one woman for ninety minutes pays €540, and a couple booking the whole night with one woman pays €2,500, with half of it sent ahead as for every overnight.
If plans change in Pride week
Friends invite you onto a boat, a party runs longer, the weather turns. Any of these counts as a cancellation, measured on the notice scale in the cancellation policy. If you know more than twenty-four hours before the booked time, you can move the booking once to another date within fourteen days and carry the deposit across. A second move, or a request inside the final twenty-four hours, is a cancellation.
Whatever the celebration outside, the booking line accepts guests of twenty-one or over, and the week of Pride is no exception.
